A LIL' ABOUT 'LIL BEAMERS
YEARLING buckskin Prince Moon Beam son, "Prince Moonshine" being shown in 4H halter class.
These are three different Moon palomino babies, they just all happen to have a small star, so look similar.
Two Year Old Moon son taught to shake hands with new friends.
Newborn palominos are often born with pink skin and light eyes that darken in just a few days, this colt now has black skin and brown eyes
Many palominos take several years to arrive at their darkest gold color, this dark gold Moon son was as light as this young filly when he was her age.
If there is one thing we hear over and over about Moon's babies, it is they have a wonderful people-loving and many times fearless temperament. I see it here with my babies, but thought it might be the way they are handled, the "Nature V.S. Nurture" argument. I am becoming a firm believer in the fact that there might be a "pester gene" and Moon may just be homozygous for that gene. Of course, this gene does make for some challenging fence repairs when these babies try and help. Look in the Fall issue of The Gaited Horse Magazine for the article about Moon babies!
